Streets of Calcutta would like to thank all the 41 participants of the 1st Street Photowalk held on 22nd February, 2015.

We sincerely thank Mr. Debarshi Duttagupta for his kind presence, tremendous efforts towards Photography and encouragement from day one.

Thank you Tamron India for the brilliant support for this unique Project. We look forward to your support in the future.

Thank you volunteers, your support was truly immense.

The Photowalk started with the prize distribution to the top 5 winners (Plabon Das, Dipankar Halder, Ion Santra, Niladri Adhikary and Ayan Mukherjee) of the 1st Calcutta Street Photography Competition by Mr. Debarshi Duttagupta and he further made two announcements – 1.) The Theme of the February 2015 Street Photography Competition will be “Kolkata – Oli-Goli-Pakostholi” and 2.) Mrs. Lopamudra Talukder will judge of the Competition. (More details on this Competition will come up shortly)

For better co-ordination the group was further split  to smaller groups of 7-8 participants, each headed by a Team leader. The Photowalk was truly a remarkable one which started from Shovabazar Metro Station and ended at Girish Park Metro Station. The Photowalk ended with a happy note. Participants suggested formation of Facebook group wherein there would be a regular discussion on Calcutta Street Photography. A monthly Photowalk was on the suggestion list.

Please feel free to tag to the Group photo (Facebook). Also please send 1 photograph from today’s Photowalk – 800 px on the longest size at 72 dpi to streetsofcalcutta@gmail.com. The last date of submissions is Tuesday – 24th February, 2015 at 11:59 PM.

Please check back soon for the submission guidelines regarding the February 2015 Street Photography Competition.

Thank you!
